Desmon Walker

Co-Founder/ CEO

I have never felt like a box was the proper playground for me. Born to a teenage mother, and the oldest of three, leadership and proving that odds aren’t always the best predictors of success has always excited me. So, when I was 25 I packed up everything and moved from my small hometown to Chicago. My goal at the time was to build an empire. Now I’m a real estate investor, husband, new father, and Co-Founder of Narratent.

My role at Narratent is to build a team that is much more talented than I am, ideas that result in real outcomes for clients, and a culture that makes other agencies jealous. Prior to Narratent, my first official business venture was a food truck that served soul food outside of bars near the University of Illinois. Before then, my days were spent mowing yards, running a candy store, paper routes, door-to-door sales, and other hustles, along with four years in Corporate America.

Naturally, my life experiences have all drawn me to entrepreneurship. My goal is to keep building the empire, become a first-generation millionaire, and fail a lot along the way.

Fun Fact:
I delivered my first TED Talk last year on Why Brands Need Black Culture.
